ABOUT MY BLOG

Up Close and Personal
I'm a wife, a mother, a daughter and a "Nana". As you can imagine, that comes with a high level of extremes, but I enjoy every moment of it. I started experimenting with YouTube videos in 2018 after I married the love of my life. I always loved to cook, and wanted to really show off my skills in the kitchen so I began recording some of kitchen tricks. Initially I wanted my channel to be about my love for cooking and baking but then I really love wigs and make up so naturally I thought it should be about fashion. As newly weds, my "Kingsband" and I love to travel, so I began documenting our excursions. I enjoyed that so much that I figured my channel should be about travel, however; COVID19 had other plans and our traveling stopped. We also decided to grow our family, as if having 5 daughters wasn't enough. I found that many women were in my same situation and I just knew TTC was the way to go. Then in 2020, my adult daughter made me a Nana to the greatest little prince in the world, so we put our TTC plans on hold, and emersed into grandparenthood. Although being his Nana is a gift I most treasure, I do have to share him with many others. So here I was again looking for that perfect fit. In my professional life, I spent the last 15 years in human service management. As an overcomer of domestic violence, teenage pregnancy, and other devastations that poverty rendered in my past life, I felt that my passion for social service was leading me to a ministry of life coaching. So what does a blog about food, travel, parenting, wigs, fashion, TTC and life hacks look like? Well me of course, welcome to nana-ish.com
